Random Win7 crashes and more!

So late last fall I built a new computer and have pretty much been having problems since day 1. Initially I had problems with keeping my raid drive alive, I swapped out the power supply and the motherboard and this seemed to fix the issue. After that I started to get what appears to be random crashes where Windows spits out to the memory dump blue screen. I couldn't seem to track down what was going on but after a windows update it seemed to go away for a while. But in the past month it's started doing it with much more frequency again. On top of that the video seems really slow to respond when it's sleeping, the monitor has been turned off by windows, or when it firsts boots up (I don't see anything on the screen until the windows logo pops up, no bios info). I honestly don't really know where to even begin to diagnose the problem as I can't notice any particular behavior that causes it to crash. The video response is the only thing that's fairly consistent but even then, I'll sometimes see it pop right up. I've even seen it crash when the computer is just sitting idle. Any help here would be appreciated. I've built many a computer with nary a problem, I'm convinced this one must be haunted.

Thanks.

System Specs?

Sounds like it could be bad ram. Download Memtest86+ and install it to a CD or USB key. Then boot off of it and run it. If it errors out there is good chance it is bad ram.
