random typing in MS Word and Google - virus?

Any idea what could cause random words to type into MS Word and Google's text box? It happens even when disconnected from the Internet.

Does it happen in any text box your cursor is in or just MS Word and Google?

Just those two. Notepad works fine. AVG Antivirus didn't find any problems.

Oh wait a minute. It did also happen on a forum like this, but much more infrequently. With MS Word it is constant, and with Google just once in a while..

I found where someone said it could be the speech recognition. I turned that off and so far so good.

Yeah, my roommate at college two years ago was having that problem. The poor guy has had bad experiences with his house being haunted and stuff, so he was kind of weirded out. Then he thought it was me messing with him over the network, but it turns out he had some voice-activated typing thing on. Turned it off = no more scary demon typing.

I had the same problem with word once, kept typing gibberish in "nan man nan man" most of the time...unplugged the keyboard and plugged it back in and all was fine....creepy though.
