if i can keep a dollar a day in a cookie jar [see edit], by the end of the year i would have at least 300 bucks! nice cash to spend for holiday shopping. 'free' Eibach springs for my ride :)

EDIT: assuming I start on January 1st.

Yeah, in the two months to Christmas you ought to be able to save up enough to buy a math book.

Random response: If you eat cookies out of that jar, you'll eat away all your savings.

I was just funning him. I like his idea. But then if I had a dollar, I'd probably spend it now.

I thought along the same line once when I was a kid who wanted a game desperately. The game was something like $85, so I calculated that a quarter a day (if I was lucky to find one each and every day) then I'd be able to buy that game in a year's time. Silly me didn't factor in that as time went by games would drop in price, therefore I'd have more money left over than I thought!! :) :p

Of course though, I never did find any quarters :(

oh moonbean, you have no idea how expensive textbooks are nowadays :)
they (science, math) can run from 70-130 dollar a piece.
but anyways, that's what borrowing from the library and xeroxing the whole thing is for. ;p
YARRR!

and you can't do much with one dollar nowadays, other than 10 10 220 and a Big'n'Tasty... so why not save and watch it quasi-pesudoly grow.

and JC:
holiday IS just for myself, I have no kids, no significant others, and my parents would be happy just to recieve an e-card....
(oh man I am cheap)
