Random thought: What if all the Manning brothers have 3 boys each that grow up to be QBs?

It would be more hilarious if they had like, 4 kids each and they all played a different spot on offense.

It would be 11 jersey's all with MANNING on the back

He's not done so well in years prior.

Don't get me wrong, Eli did phenomenal this year, especially near the end, but I don't see him being a top level QB...yet. If he can prove/make his performance consistent, sure, but he's still a big ?? in my book in terms of a "proven" QB.

I attribute that more to being a young QB. The stereotypical maturity time for NFL QBs is 4 years. There are exception of course as some QBs blossom sooner and others blossom later and still others never blossom. In his 4th year, Eli started to show that he was 'getting it' towards the end of the season and especially in the playoffs. Now to see if he can carry it over into next year.

Was Cooper Manning a wide receiver in high school/college? I don't recall, but I know that he wasn't a QB.

Cooper Archibald Manning, Archie's oldest son, was born in 1974. The only Manning brother not playing professional football, he was a standout wide receiver at the Isidore Newman School. During his senior year he was selected to the all-state team, the same season his brother Peyton started at quarterback as a sophomore.

Cooper was heavily recruited by Division I schools Texas, Virginia and Ole Miss, but was diagnosed with spinal stenosis in 1992, thus ending his football career.

After a successful surgery in 1993, he eventually graduated from Ole Miss, and entered the business world. Cooper married Ellen Heidingsfelder in 1999 and together they have three children, a daughter named May born in 2002, and two sons, Arch and Heid, born in 2004 and 2006.

Ok, so we're actually down to 8 unless Cooper decides to have another son or his daughter becomes the first female NFL QB.

Their oldest brother, Cooper, was supposed to be better at WR than Peyton at QB
