hi there,

i ve been getting these total system lockups lately
happens every 15-30 minutes or so

checked everything already, tested it all on my 2nd system btw, memory is fine, cpu is obviously fine, video card is fine too

nothing is overclocked, everything's running at default voltages

nothing is overheating

took all the boards out of my case, with the exception of the video card

erased all the data on both of my hd's with that quantum data eraser util, repartitioned & reformatted em, did a complete surface scan on both, no errors found no bad sectors, no nothing.. still no use

cant even install win98 completely without getting 2-3 lock ups.

damn this sucks, it started happening to me like a week and a half ago, whats the deal???

think it might be my motherboard or something?? i just got it like 2 months ago, brand new in a box

my sys specs are as follows,

p233 mmx @233 with a p3 hsf
asus p5a-b
ati rage pro 2x agp 8mb (ati @work)
generic pc66 32mb ram stick
2 quantum hd's, fireball se & st
logitech mouseman2 ps/2
generic 250W AT PS, working just fine, quite clearly more than enough for my sys

thanx in advance
:((

If possible set your multiplyer to 4.0 and increase the cpu voltage by .2(example 2.2 to 2.4)this will give ya 264 mhz=stable.if that doesnt work check your memory, hate to say it but windowso/s will use most of 32 megs just to operate.Gameing is nearly impossible without more.
