It seems like every time I turn on my computer now I get a sort of blue screen of death in Windows XP. Usually it occurs when I'm starting a program, though it happens very randomly and sporadically. It will go into this blue screen and tell me there was an error and windows was shut down to prevent damage to my computer, and then perform a complete system memory dump. It will usually say ntfs.sys or watchdog.sys were the cause, though sometimes it just lists a bunch of code. It sometimes occurs when I'm first booting up and I'm at the Windows XP boot logo. I found a screen in system properties that lists what XP will do in the event of system failure but changing the options didn't seem to do much. Any ideas anyone? any help would be greatly appreciated!
thanks
