My wifes computer keeps having random freezes at startup where either the
mouse freezes or when the Creative logo and sound comes up
on screen during startup. During the latter one the
system makes a loud buzzing.
I am using a Soltek SL-75DRV Via K266 MB
Athlon 1.4 thunderbird
256 megs crucial ddr 2.5 cas
Creative Audigy OEM
ATI Radeon 64 meg VIVO
Pioneer 10XDVD slot load
Microsoft optic mouse
Creative webcam 3
I have the Via 4 in1 ver. 4.38 loaded
The newest Bios for the MB
ATI version 4.13.9016 driver
Newest creative Audigy drivers and webcam drivers
I used to have a similar problem with this MB and the old
soundblaster live 5.1 card where there was some problems
with the PCI bus. Via 4 in 1 drivers were to have solved
that after 4. 32 I''m led to believe, and it's not
supposed to happen with the Audigy?
In Control panel when the startup is succesful i have a
Exclamation mark beside the following...
ATI WDM Rage Theatre Video Capture
NTKERN.vxd Code 2 Driver failed to load properly
I have reinstalled this driver many times, but it keeps
coming back with this error.
Any answers??
