for some reason, my system randomly reboots on its own occasionally. it's usually once the windows desktop is about to load, then it just reboots and is fine. my specs:

athlon tbird 900
kt7-raid
win98SE
128megs ram

what could be causing this?

I had the same problem with my Win2K system. I tried loading it in safe mode and then taking out most, if not all of the software that loaded at startup and it still kept doing it. I even uninstalled alot of software that I recently put on and it STILL kept doing it. Originally I thought that it was just causing some kind of error at startup and the automatic reboot was kicking in, but I took off automatic reboot and it STILL kept doing it. My advice is to boot in safe mode, get all the stuff that you want and just trash the OS and reinstall. That worked great for me. :)

I had this exact problem for two weeks with my kt-7raid. Happened in either win2k or win98se. I'd get a crash every now and then, usually in a Vxd. Problem turned out to be ram that the system didn't quite like, though it worked fine in a 440bx board. Replaced it with some new pc133 ram, and it hasn't crashed or rebooted itself in close to a week now.
