Well since I bought my 6800GT, I had a lot of random reboots when playing games, the computer just randomly restart by itself.

Obiviously I first thought about lack of Power, but.. goddamnit, I have a Good Antec PSU I paid quite a bunch, about 2 years ago. It's 400W.

I have a thermaltake XaserIII case , witch have 7 80mm fans controler by a hardcano, and a Volcano 7+ is sitting on my 2500+. So I said myself "aight I'll set all my fans (tower+cpu) to lower, anyway my computer isn't o/cked and I'll prolly grap some more voltage and gain stability" Well to my suprise the opposite happened, the computer started rebooting more often, now it even reboots in windows when it is idle with the screensaver (screensaver hard on CPU tought). So I decided to go for the opposite and raise fan speeds to the max, and the system seems a lot more stable... so I don't really get it.

I don't get it... because my CPU temps reaches about 48celcius FULL LOAD with all fans to LOW. Why would my computer reboot with a cpu reaching 48 celcius?

Anyway I'm all comfused now. I thought I could open up Mother Monitor and check voltages, but I definitly have no idea what voltage failure would cause that, and not sure I can get the program to run over games.

Suggestions?

Possible that it could be power related.. Was thumbing through Maximum PC today and in the "dream Machine 2004" article, They started out with a 460 watt PSU and ATI card. Once they put in a 6800 Ultra, The machine would no longer boot. Upping the PSU to a PC power and cooling 510-watter fixed the problem. Yes, You do have a good PSU, But it depends on how much stuff you are running in the box (ie: multiple HDD's couple cd roms/dvd's, lights, fans, etc) and how much total power is being used.

Your in the right direction with MBM5. Open it up and see the "sys/interval log" feature. Set it to record to a text.doc. After a reboot go to the text doc and see what was going with voltages and temps when it reboots.
