random reboots?! pleaseeeeeee help!

i just recently built my computer and got windows xp up and running. however, every so often while i'm on my computer, a blue screen will pop up for like a split second and then my computer will reboot. the screen is on for such a short period of time that i have no idea what's written on it. it even reboots when i leave my computer on overnight. i was wondering if any of you guys have experienced similar problems and if you have, how you fixed it.. i'm completely lost and have no idea if it's a hardware problem or a software problem. i thought it might've been a corrupt windows so i reinstalled it and still experience the same problem. pleaseeeeeee help me! any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. just in case you need the specs of my computer, here they are:

epox ep-9npa+ultra
athlon 64 3000+
thermalright xp-90 w/ panaflo 92mm fan (arctic silver thermal compound)
2 corsair 512mb ram
seasonic s12 430w powersupply
seagate 250 sata

Always run a memory check ( memtest86, et. al. ). I've built two computers and both had bad sticks of memory.

to shed some more light on what the problem may be, i checked the event viewer and this is what popped up:

there are a bunch of these warning symbols and i believe they correspond to the time my computer restarts. could someone please tell me what this means? thanx a bunch!

I would also recommend running the SeaTools diagnostic on your HD.
Are you using the nV SW-IDE drivers for the PATA controllers?

yea i'm using the nv sw-ide drivers for the pata controllers. i tried running the seatools diagnostic on my hd and it didn't detect anything wrong with it. any other suggestions on what else i could do? also, if you look at the picture i posted, what does the logs on the event viewer mean?

1) what exact version of Corsair memory (VS, XMS, C2, XL, etc)

2) what voltage are you giving the memory? If you left it on AUTO, then say.

3) what video card do you use?
