Random Reboots - GEIL Ram or Ti4200?

Hey all, just upgraded my computer last week and I have some random reboot issues. I swapped out my trusty Crucial PC2100 for some GEIL PC3500 and a Radeon 8500-64 for an Albatron Ti4200P-Turbo.

The Albatron OC's decently enough. I am running it at 286/625 with the latest public Dets.
With the Crucial RAM I was able to OC my AGOIA 1600+ to 1750 (10.5 x166) at stock voltage, VMEM at 2.8 with very conservative memory timings.

Now, with the GEIL PC3500, I again overclock to 1750, VMEM at 2.8 or 2.9 with TURBO settings (CAS 2) and I get random reboots. When I clock back down to 1400Mhz, everything seems fine.

Do I have flakey memory? I have an RMA in for the RAM with NewEgg and I will probably just get some Crucial PC2700 and be done with it. I am starting to get a headache with all this crap.

Any input?

Geil memory sucks.

it seems the more we tell people that in these forums the more they wanna prove us wrong
it's just a cheep overclocked memory

shoulda got corsair xms or another good high quality memory

those albatron video cards seem pretty good and I doubt that the vid card is your problem in this case

GEIL is obviously the issue.
I had the misfortune of getting some of this utter garbage myself, It's really pretty ass.

hmmm...i always thought GEIL was along the lines of OCZ memory, which is why I stayed away.

You've made a wise decision.
I got it from my dealer by accident.
they carry all kinds of stuff sometimes.
