I built my own rig about 3 or so months ago, and its been running without a hitch. Slowly though, over the past few weeks, its been acting up. My HD during load up of windows desktop will keep on accessing the hd if I try to open a folder or load another program like AIM, and it won't stop...it just keeps loading and loading, and I have to reboot, and wait for the hd to load everything on the desktop before I open any other programs so it won't freeze. Secondly at random times, my computer will just reboot by itself when I'm in the middle of doing things..whether its some gaming or just working in MS Word, it'll just reboot. It's like there's an invisible hand pressing the reset switch on my tower every once in awhile.
My setup is as follows:
Win2k Pro
1.2 ghz amd athlon fsb 266
256 mb pc 2100 Crucial DDR Ram.
Thermaltake chrome orb
Geforce 2 GTS Pro 32mb
SB live value
60GB IBM HD 7200rpm
Iomega Zip CDRW 12/10/32
CLabs 52x cdrom
and of course, the 3.5 in floppy but hopefully that isn't the cause of the problems

And yes, I've run a defrag of the hd just to make sure that wasn't the cause of my headaches. It wasn't.
