Random reboots and display problems

I've been having some random rebooting problems and was hoping one of you could shed some light.

I built my computer about 6 months ago. 3 months ago the display went down, and I could only see the display if I switched to the motherboard graphics, so I replaced my radeon 7970 with an nvidia 770gtx. Everything was fine.

Now 3 months later I'm getting random reboots that don't seem connected with software, and half the time when it reboots I'll lose the display for about 15 minutes. I don't get a display even on motherboard graphics, and eventually it just comes up as if nothing was wrong. But I get several of these reboots every evening.

Any suggestions as to what may be the culprit?

thank you in advance for your help!

In addition to the power supply make/model, please post a complete list of system components. Do you overclock? Also, are you running any type of heat monitoring software like Speedfan or HWMonitor?

- Motherboard: ASROCK|Z87 EXTREME3 LGA1150 R
- Power Supply: CORSAIR | CX750 750W RT
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4670
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce 770GTX
- Asus 24xDVD-RW Serial ATA Internal OEM Drive DRW-24B1ST (Black)
- Kingston Technology HyperX 8 GB (2x4 GB Modules) 1600 MHz DDR3 Dual
- WD Blue 1 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, 7200 RPM, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64 MB
- Crucial M500 SSD

I have been running a temperature monitor since I started having problems and haven't seen any temps above 60C when gaming ( on processor or graphics card ).

I don't overclock (yet).

Couple things here. Power supply is fine as far as make and model goes, but that doesn't mean you didn't get a bad one. I would send an RMA and ask for a replacement.

Also, your temps can't be right. That video card is probably hitting around 80 under load. You may want to look into some different monitoring software.

I'll try some new temperature monitoring and try WhoCrashed. I also ordered a new power supply which should be here tonight so I may have an update.

Also, I went through all the power cables last night and unplugged and plugged them back in. I didn't have any crashes last night. It doesn't mean anything necessarily, because the problem is intermittent, but it may have just been a loose connection. Its promising, since I had had several crashes the previous evening.
