Random Reboot

I just got an Aopen Ey855-II from newegg last week and installed with it a 1.5Ghz Dothan and 1 GB of ddr3200 @ ddr2700. Originally I had 256s MB. With the 256 it would reboot much more freqnently, when running bittornado. Now it happens less with the 1 gig. Why would a comp randomly reboot? Any help?
 
Pick one - rebooting can be narrowed down to:

Heat
Faulty RAM (run Memtest86)
Faulty hardware
Conflicting drivers
Drivers needing updating
BIOS needing updating
Grounding issues with motherboard and case
Insufficient and/or failing power supply
etc

To start off, I would check your event logs. Go to START menu, select RUN, and type eventvwr.msc followed by return. Look in both the SYSTEM and APPLICATION logs and see what shows up at the time of reboots.

I would also try and get ahold of a STOP code rather than have your PC reboot. Right-click MY COMPUTER and select PROPERTIES. Click on ADVANCED tab. Under STARTUP and RECOVERY, click on SETTINGS. Under SYSTEM FAILURE, uncheck automatically restart. This will provide you with a blue screen (BSOD) and an error code the rather than restarting next time the error/conflict occurs.

Faling those tips, we can start tackling the other possible culprits one by one.

Thanks for the reply! I'll run these tests when I get home. I'll try to install a verson of windows server 2003 to see if it runs smoother then XP. (certain benefits working at Sovereign bank HQ)

Heat: I highly doubt this, cpu runs at a cool 30* C
Faulty hardware: I'm hoping now, everything is brand new.
Conflicting drivers: Do people have notebooks that randomly reboot?
Bios: The bios according to the aopen site hasn't been updated since january
Grounding issues: The case was pre-fabbed as a barebone from aopen, so I'm doubting this.
Power: 275 watts is PLENTY of power for a pentium m system.

C:\windows\minidumps - anything in there? If so, update all your drivers and do ALL windows updates. If the dumps still happen, send them my way, plus run MPS Reports and send me the computername.cab file it makes.

Well I don't know what's up but it's bittornado that's causing the lockups/reboots. After leaving it running prime95 all night w/ no crash and azures for 2 days now I think I can undeniably say that bittornado somehow causes it to lockup. Uninstalling it fixed all future problems. Thanks for the replies though!
