Hello,

3 years ago I built my own computer - a dual AMD 1600 machine with a gig of RAM on a TYAN K7 mobo. Recently, my computer has been auto-rebooting for no reason. I know I didn't have a power surge because none of the other electical appliances go off or flicker. And even if I did, I have an APC Backup UPS 1000 which should regulate the current.

What could be the cause? I have MotherBoardMonitor loaded and everything seems to be fine. Not sure what else I can do or how to use MotherBoardMonitor all to well either.

On a related issue - is this machine worth upgrading? And if so what is the most-bang-for-the-buck path? Swap out Mobo maybe get new chips? A slight shame cause I did shell out the money for the registered RAM.

Thanks. My friend has the same PSU as I do. I will ask if I can borrow his for a month to see if this problem continues.
