Random question of the day: Do you think you really can tell how a woman will look...

Have you noticed that you can tell how a chick will age and if she will look good by looking at her mom?

Is that really true?

No poll, just want a discussion :)

I am old enough to have seen girls go from youngsters to midlife and from what I have seen it is a pretty good indicator.

It is certainly true in my wife's case. The longer I am with her, the more she looks like her mom (not a bad thing).

not really no. the father had influence as well and, well, i really hope the girl in my class doesn't end up like her mom. she is pretty but her mom (who teaches in the same school) is kinda really ugly. i hope not anyway.

I think so ... and to be honest, I hope so. My wife's mom runs marathons and is in fantastic shape :D

edit: not that I'm looking though ... :p

Yup. There are differences, of course, but generally that's the way it'll go.

that is what i think as well, but looking personally at my mom and how my grandmother looked when she was alive, i can't see it.

The reason i asked is because i never really thought I resembled my mom at all and someone mentioned that i look exactly like her.
I think she looks great for being 52 though.

This is interesting to hear.

If nothing else, you can get a good idea as to how the advancement of age is going to affect her. If Mom is 50 and looks 70 - uh oh. If Mom is 70 and looks 40 - well that's just from surgery. Bottom line: If mom is a MILF or a GMILF, you are in good shape.

Meh!!! Sometimes it holds true, sometimes it doesn't. So many variables!
I would say there are some body type traits that are inherited, like pear shaped(baby got back), breast size, general bone structure, etc.... But alot also depends on lifestyle, dietary habits, etc....

you gotta look at dad too and decide which (general) body type she got.

but yes, I always considered it, especially if there was a resemblence.

I'm sure it goes for guys too. When I was a kid, I looked a lot like my mom (face), but as I grow older, my face is starting to look more and more like my dad's. The resemblence is obvious now.

I think in generally kids can be broken down into 4 categories. Has more traits of their father, has more traits of their mother, looks a little like both, or the rare I wasn't adopted but I sure don't look like either parent. So I think in the cases of the girls that have always resembled their mother you can predict what they'll look like when they're older, but in the other cases I don't think you could use their mother as a basis of what they will look like.
