I was just thinking.. in Star Trek, why do they always quote or refer to 17th, 18th, 19th century people, advancements, etc? Aside from the guy who founded the warp engine, didn't ANYTHING else significant happen after the 21st century? They could make up events and quote them, but they seem to always refer to the 17th-19th centuries for these great and profound things.

If you covered a car in shag carpet, and it rained, would the extra weight create a significant enough adverse circumstance for highway travel? Also, what would be the best way to attach the carpet?

To wit: with that same car, would it then be considered a Rolling Carpet as opposed to a Flying Carpet, or would it be a Rolling Rug?

Yeah, but you do'nt hear them refer to the people who discovered those things. "As the great inventor of the phaser once said, and I quote, 'Fshzz!'" (it's a phaser sound)
I was probably thinking more along the lines of literary, scientific quotes also.

Human babies are incredibly useless and dumb. Nearly any other animal can be taken at a very young age and left alone and have a chance but a human baby needs to go through many years of life before they can be self-sustaining if left in the wildnerness.

In fact many grown adults would not be able to survive, even in a temperate climate with readily available food sources.

my pondering for the moment..

The Honda GXH50 on my scooter comes stock with a Keihin BF32E[C] carburetor. Fixed jet, float style, 32mm.

I want to open 'er up by putting a Tillotson pumper carb on it.. I'm trying to figure out which model would be best.

Not only would I have full control over the mixture, but it would let me mount the fuel tank anywhere - instead of being limited to somewhere above the engine. Plus, I would be able to use a K&N airfilter.

So far my research has led me towards the 2nd generation Tillotson HL357A. Anybody want to lend me 75$? ;)

In the name of science, of course. ;)

How many baby animals that can be left alone and fend for themselves, grow up to build computers, build the internet, and post on this board....:p

Humans rule!! we kick ass and can eat any animal we want....provided there is enough salsa and free refills. :p

does skoorb live in the trailer park?

Nope, he does not. :)

You sure, I mean, he is in Alabama?

BTW, "mobile community" and "trailer park" are the same thing, in case you weren't aware. :)

Here are a few of my observations:

Culture is a cancer, tradition is an abomination and religion is a plague.
