Random Lockups in XP with PcChips 810LMR

I recently put together a computer based upon a PCChips 810LMR. The problem is that I encounter random lockups in XP. They do not follow any pattern, but they are hard lockups.
I know that the Processor (1 GHz Duron) and the HDD (40gb 5400rpm Maxtor) are good. I also believe that the memory is good. The motherboard could be bad, but I'm just curious if there are any other things I should check before I call it DOA.
