Whenever I play a 3d app, my computer runs fine except every 3 or 4 minutes it will "lag" for about 1.5 seconds. It comes right back up but the freezing is getting a little old. When this happens, everything on the computer freezes. Vent, the game, music, everything. Any ideas on what it could be. Also, this is ONLY happening in 3d apps. Doesnt happen during web browsing or things like that.

Things I already checked:

Memory ( I tried completely different memory with the same results)
Spyware (2 different spyware programs run twice each)
Virus Scan (who doesnt do this anyway?)
OC (turned it back to complete default with the same results)

System:
AMD X2 3800
Winfast NF4UK8AA
I have 3 different kinds of memory I have tried (Corsair 3200 Cas 2, PQI Turbo 3200, and GSKILL crap stuff)
ATI Radeon X850XT

PS: Only thing i could think of is the memory on my graphics card went south, but I cant really test that so im looking for other possibilities.

One thing that comes to mind and has caused similar issues for me in the past is if you have "Enable write combining" checked in your video settings - right click Windows background, Settings, Advanced, Troubleshoot Tab.

Could also be a BIOS setting on your MB relating to Graphics. You may want to dig out the manual and go through them if the above doesn't help.
