ok I?ve been having this weird problem at first i thought it was a virus or some spy ware but I updated and Norton and ad aware and they found nothing. My problem is I?ll be stilling here doing nothing but listening to music talking on aim and irc and the such when I notice memturbo shows megs of ram free. I don't know what is going on but it's getting annoying having to keep restarting. I'm running windows xp. I have 512 ram and I?m pretty sure at last check winamp doesn't use 300 megs or ram. Well if you have any ideas it would be helpful.
Thanks,
Ryan

try running without memturbo for awhile ...xp does a good job managing memory by itself..

Umm...but is that going to fix his problem? Perhaps.

It appears you have something in your system that is eating the ram. It sounds like a memory leak from a lousy app. (perhaps memturbo? Ahhh...the irony....)

If Memturbo is the culprit, dumping it off the system will help you out and correct the problem. if it is not, and XP doesn't handle the memory leak, you will have to search a little more. There are various programs that will allow you to reclaim used ram, such as Dachshund software's AntiCrash, which will help save the dreaded blue screens on your system as well as allow you to reclaim used RAM and even defrag your swap file. I use it on my 98se machine and it definitely comes in handy.
