Yay! After 20 hours of report writing, data collection, and a $400 printing tab for over 4000 pages worth of reports and documentation, it's finally complete. And what is the state going to do? Probably look through the first 20 pages and then throw it away.

Fine waste of my time, my companies dollars, and a waste of tax dollars.

For those that don't know what the hell I'm talking about: I work for a fast food franchise owner. The number of employee and payroll regulations that we must follow is staggering. Every now and then the state thinks it's fun to make sure that all our paperwork is hunky dorey and that we aren't working underage employees, or cutting checks to illegal immigrants, or sending checks to ficticious employees. I understand the reasoning, but damn, it's a huge HR burden to compile all this stuff. One report alone was 3000 DOUBLE SIDED pages :Q

I too own my own company. I feel as though I?m just a middleman for the IRS & Workers Comp. Paper work is no fun, especially if you have any employees that have to have their wages attached.

I feel your pain.
