Random kindness rocks

So my dad took me out to lunch at wendy's after i helped him get his car out of the nypd impound. I got a burger without the bun, a side salad, and nuggets - i'm low carbing. Anyways, a nugget flies off of the table because I'm a klutz and I walk past a table of "suits" (bankers/broker types) to fetch the lost nugget and then toss it in the trash. One of the banker types returns a few minutes later to tell me that he noticed my nugget loss and hands me a freshly purchased batch. I was taken aback and have been in a good mood since. How random is that?

Just sharing how one person's splurge of $1.07 made a difference to someone else, making me a bit less cynical and a lot more thankful. Gotta figure out what my random good deed will be now...

That was nice of him 🙂 I hope there wasn't any ulterior motives for that act of kindness, though.

He was a normal guy, middle aged, talking about sports and finance with his pals. If her had ulterior motives he wouldn't have handed them to me with my dad there and, no, it was not a pick up... Some people are just nice, though you cynics can believe everything is about sex or using someone.

How old are you?

Maybe he's one of those people who found it nice that you actually picked it up and threw it away instead of just walking off.

I didn't mean sex or anything like that. At any rate, it was a good thing for you.

Hey, i wasn't really replying to your post but the "maybe he wants your nuggets" one. Sorry for the misunderstanding 🙂

Surprised no has asked this yet. Why was your dads car impounded?

And yes that nice of him. He did because you took the time and your responsibilty of picking up something you spilled instead of leaving it for someone else. Good job

Half of a block was no parking 7-9AM (M-F), the other half you can park 24/7. He parked on the wrong half. He should have just gotten a ticket but it's a bit of a commercial zone.

saw it at Starbucks. girl in front of me order a couple of drinks, then realized she doesnt have her wallet in her purse. customer at the other register said he'll pay for it. (she wasnt cute.) the cashier then gave him a coupon for a free drink for the next time since he was so nice.

ah.. the Holiday spirit

kinda kind the movie 'pay it forward' or something like that

I was thinking the same thing. I just hope nobody dies at the end.
