When playing the game: Dark Age of Camelot (a MMORPG), sometimes, my keyboard randomly stops working. It isn't any specific area or thing I do. I hear a beep come from my motherboard i think and then my keyboard ceases to function. Exiting the game doesn't do anything. I have to reboot to get my keyboard to work. I do not know why it's only doing it in this game because I've played it for 3 years and I have never encountered such a problem. The computer I'm using is a brand new computer consisting of:
Antec Sonata w/ included the Antec PSU
Seagate 80gb HD
Mushkin Dual Pack 1GB PC3200 RAM
Chaintech VNF3-250 Motherboard (Socket 754)
AMD Athlon 64 3400+
Radeon 9700
SB LIVE!
I used to think it was due to the game being too intensive but then I ran Doom3, played World of Warcraft, HL2, etc. and my keyboard worked perfectly. I have tried multiple keyboards (All PS2 port) and they all work fine and only when playing Dark Age of Camelot.
Any ideas as to why the keyboard would cease to function in a general hardware sense?
Thanks in advance,
def
