random help with a stapler

hi. i know a lot of you are handy with random stuff so i thought i'd try to fix my broken stapler before i threw it out. here's the deal ... it staples just fine, except the ends of the staple bend outward and not inward. so on the back of your stapled pieces of paper, the ends point away from each other, and not in. any way i can fix this? i dont see any thing really bent. haha. okay. thank you ATOT. =)

Look at the bottom portion of the stapler. There should be a metal piece, with indentations, at the tip, wher ethe staple would come out, go through the paper, and touch the other part of the stapler. That metal piece is what determines which way the staples bend. Flip it.
 
There is a metal plate at the front of the stapler...

It should be spring loaded so that you can push it up and rotate it 180 degrees... then the staples should go inward.

And, and I told Don too, because they've moved my desk four times already this year, and I used to be over by the window, and I could see the squirrels, and they were married, but then, they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler, but I kept my Swingline stapler because it didn't bind up as much, and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler and its not okay because if they take my stapler then I'll set...
 
wow i'm a complete moron. that was so easy. and to think i've been putting up with these weird staples forever. ATOT is the best. =)

It must hurt to be outsmarted by a stapler.

I do have to admit, though, when my roommate & I were doing the BMW Ultimate Drive we were unable to get the X5 to play a CD. Had no trouble in any of the other vehicles.
