Thanks for the information, my x1900 was actually getting to mid-90's however. I hope that's still acceptable. How do I force/change fan speed in ATITools? I can't find the option anywhere.

Also, I do have RivaTuner installed but it says my display driver is not supported and that I should upgrade RiveTuner. I'm running v2.0 RC 16, however. Meanwhile I'm RMA'ing the other card.

The newest version of Ati tray tools or AtiTool (2 separate programs...) both have fan control, and so does Riva Tuner. I'd personally recommend using ATT, since you can use it instead of CCC.

Are you positive the fan is running? My X1900XT came with the fan connector ever so slightly loose such that it looked plugged in but the fan was not spinning. As my system makes a fair amount of noise, I just thought that everyone complaints about the card's cooler were overrated.:p

When it started hitting 80C+ after idling for a while I finally opened the case up and saw that the fan wasn't on.

Hmmm, I'll double-check but I'm pretty sure that I do hear it spinning, it's just not spinning very much/loud. Thanks for the tip, though.

Just RMA'd the Sapphire x1900xt (512mb) to Newegg. Unfortunately, they don't carry it on their website anymore (I just got it last week!), so I may have to get my money back and pick one up somewhere else. I really want that card.

aka1nas, I checked and the fan on my CF edition card is working properly. Although I haven't adjusted it via ATI Tray Tools yet. So far tray tools looks waaaaaaaaaay better than CCC. Much smaller footprint, just as many (if not more) options, etc.
