no idea what this is, and it only happens in firefox 1.0.4

if the thread is long enough, there will randomly be one of these bars in someones post. any ideas?

Example 1
Example 2

edit: i searched for gray, rectangle, bar, block, and a few others before posting, so blow me if its a repost

nothing seems to get rid of them...ive even tried to format my computer and it still does it. it also happens on my laptop using firefox 1.0.4.

I get them under both Mozilla 1.7.x and Firefox 1.0.4 on several computers. I haven't noticed them in Opera, but I don't use it much for AT. The gray boxes seem to be associated with the Google ads box at the very bottom of each page. In my experience, they only appear on very long pages, suggesting code to position the ad may have a bug.

that makes sense...how can this be fixed? or is it a fusetalk problem?

It is a webpage problem. I am fairly certain if Jason looks at it he could easily find the problematic/bug in the code.

Could make a decent sig 😉.

Anyways, I use netscape (i know i know, it works) and don't get anything like that.

I get them too in FF. It's the size of an ad banner. It only shows up and really long threads (my view is set to 200 posts per page.)

Yeah, I've experienced it on my work PC (FF, no adblock insalled [I'm lazy]) but not on my home PC (FF, adblock present and accounted for).

i don't get those exactly...but every now and again there will be a lot of blank space between random posts...it's just the background color...like there used to be posts there but they all got removed and the rest didn't move up to fill the space or something...if i refresh it goes away...odd

using opera 8.01 here
