I just installed a new cpu/mobo/ram in my computer and now the computer will just freeze at (seemingly) random times. Sometimes it just straight out freezes and other times it will freeze and the caps lock and scroll lock lights will flash on the keyboard.
It did it when I was installing windows xp pro and mandrake linux 9.1. It does it now when I'm in XP and linux (idling or working). What's wrong?

Here are my specs:
Mobo: Asus A7N8X Deluxe
CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2600 (333 MHZ FSB)
Memory: One Kingston 512MB PC3200 400MHZ DDR DIMM CL2.5
Video Card: VisionTek Geforce 4 Ti 4600
Hard Drive: Western Digital 80GB (special edition w/ 8mb cache)
PSU: Antec True480
And a pioneer dvd player + plexwriter cdrw

I had the same problem with my setup (see sig) a while ago... For the longest time I couldn't figure out what was wrong... Then I found out it was the BIOS... After the flashed the mobo BIOS to the latest version the problem went away for good...

I would recommend you try the same...

Ok, I flashed the BIOS and it hasn't crashed yet (for about 5 minutes). But now when I try to go into the BIOS, after I hit DEL and the startup, my keyboard locks up (no lights, keys don't respond) and no USB devices work in Windows XP (I can plug in a PS/2 mouse and it works fine).

Are you sure the flash finished successfully? Sounds like something messed up while you flashed the BIOS...
