Did you know that one out of three U.S. women owns a gun?

That's right. According to Al Sharpton, we must all be living in a "State of terror".

While I might disagree with Al Sharpton, I will say that a society where a woman (or a man for that matter) NEEDS to own a firearm to be safe is not exactly my idea of the perfect civilization.

Who said anything about NEED? I don't need a gun, but I have quite a few. I like them. I collect military weapons. Have for many years, but you wouldn't find them in my house unless you knew where they were. Just because someone owns a firearm does not mean they need one for safety. Need is directly proportionaly to the type of neighborhood in which you reside. There are plenty of uncivilized neighborhoods in this country but we won't get into that. Where I live I don't need one, but I will always have one.

I have a buddy is So Cal who bought one for his wife, kind of hoping, I think, she might shoot herself. Maybe that's what accounts for such high numbers.

They have quite a collection of who bought what as far as I recall it is the law..

I know some females who have guns... but they are cops or agents... and I know some civilian females too who have guns.. especially in the remote jungle of Tallahassee and Boca Raton..

Which brings us to the realization that no civilization is perfect. And since people are imperfect, civilization will always flawed and it will always be necessary to take precautionary measures.

Next time I shoot somebody because I think they might be armed and about to shoot me I will reference George Bush and the Iraq occupation.
