Random Fact of the Day!

Did you know that Tchaikovsky was gay? Yup, and much of his life, he was very depressed because of it.

Also, Tchaikovsky could not write music while he was depressed. This is quite strange, because from what we know, he was depressed almost all the time...yet he was able to write scores and scores of music...much of what we would easily recognize today.

EDIT!

I forgot to mention one thing that cheered Tchaikovsky up! He liked to sit down at his piano and play "Carmen" by Georges Bizet...from start to finish. He thought very highly of it, which is amazing coming from a man who never much cared for other composer's music.

He was russian, vodka made him happy, thus, vodka created Tchaikovsky's music.

LOL

his 1812 Overture is amazing

For a song written by vodka, sure.

If it wasn't for drugs and alcohol, there would be a LOT less music in the world.
