Random error on reboots

Homerboy

Lifer
I JUST built this machine and did all the Windows updates to it.
When I boot her up it seems that about everyother time I get the error:

Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINNT\System32\Drivers\Ntfs.sys

It doesnt happen everytime ... its totally random.

Any suggestions? I already tried a Windows repair and defrag.
