Random Disconnects

I was wondering if anybody could help me please.
Lately my computer has been losing connection at random times, and I cannot connect again until I restart my computer. Even if i restart the connection it doesn't work. The wierd thing is, sometimes my torrent keeps uploading so its not a complete disconnect I guess...

But another weird thing, is that my xbox 360 stays connected so I know its a computer issue and not a internet connection loss or a networking problem.

I'm not sure if this helps but the problems started when I tried to get my xbox media center to connect to my vista.
