ok, check my sig for my PC config, EVERYTHING stock, nothing is OC'd for sake of stability ATM.
The Environment:
Whenver I'm playing a game, could be CS 1.6, CS:S, or Everquest2, HL2DM, or just HL2.
The Symptoms:
Will completly lock up the sytem, and give a repetative buzzing noise from speakers from last 10 miliseconds of sound. Sometimes it will come back on its own, but will keep locking up every 3-10 minutes. Some lock ups are so severe that it requires a reboot.
Things that have been tried:
Changing around voltages on mem doesnt help, if anything, 2.65 volts makes it worse. Changing voltage on CPU from auto (1.50v) to +3.3% does seem to help it a bit.
I have latest non-beta drivers for everything and previous drivers dont help the situation. for sound, graphics or mobo.
I'm definetly not overheating as far as proc is concerned, at 100% cpu power from seti@home after 5 hrs highest it gets is 56 C, graphics doesnt go above 67C.
Another thing I noticed: During load times of EQ2, it would freeze sometimes while loading the character into the zone, but then unfreeze and be fine, except that the icons all looked funky. (minimizing and then maximizing in windowed mode eq2 does "fix" that though.
Any Suggestions? Questions? Comments?
