Thanks for the help. I made a few slight changes to the system yesterday, including adding 2 more gigs of identical ram as my other two, and installing Company of Heroes and Bejeweled for the wife. First the ram - I run XP 32-bit and know it can only address 3 Gb, but I had the other two so figured why not. Second, which I think is/was the problem, COH. I really wanted to try it out but it kept crashing. Then I started getting BSODs. And then after I installed Bejeweled (free from popcap btw) I started BSODing in that too! How embarrassing! So, I took out the ram and it kept crashing. I've uninstalled COH but don't know if that was the problem yet. That's where I'm at. I've read the game has some problems with Creative drivers and/or I needed a Bios update. Haven't got that far. I really want to find a solution where I can play the game because I've really been wanting to. Here are my specs:
AMD Opteron 1212 @ 2.9Ghz stock voltage
AC Freezer Pro 64
BFG 590SLI AM2
2Gb OCZ Plat. PC-6400 - 4-4-4-10 2T (was 4)
Evga 8800GTS 320mb (stock)
2x Raptor 74Gb Raid0
Seagate 400Gb Sata
Zalman 600-HP PSU
Windows XP SP2 - 32-bit
~THANKS~
