It works fine for past three months, but from yesterday it started to scream randomly -- not last very long, but it suddenly began and sometimes stopped for a while, then buzz again, some high pitch noise, very likely from the fan (I hope it's not from PSU).

If the fan is wrong, then it should produce the noise all the time. However, it only happens several times a day. For most of times, it's ok. I tried to pat on the case, push it, shake it, no help.

There is only one big fan on the back of the case to expel the heat from the big heatsink on CPU, through the duck. I think it's 92mm or 120mm fan. It was very quiet before.

I wonder if anbody can give me some clue what this piece of crap is doing?

ok. i found it's not from the fan. I replaced the fan but the buzz still exists. The only possibility is in the PSU.

PIECE OF CRAP DELL!!!

ok. another update and the problem is solved: I forgot there is another fan in the box: fan on AIW radeon!!! This is it! This tiny fan generates the random buzz! Dell has no fault. ATI's crappy fan is it.

After I unplugged the power plug of the fan, the world is quiet again.
