What contradiction? What he said is just as easily applied to Christians, Jews, Muslims, or anyone "attending speeches from someone who is promoting the violent overthrow of our government". I do not see skin or religion singled out. Do you have a problem with that?
Hmmm, sounds like those pesky colonists during the American Revolution.

Once again liberals side with the terrorists.

lol

patriotism = loss of rights.

keeping rights = support of terrorists.

fortunately, spidey, there are less and less true nutters out there today who truly believe your jingoistic ultranationalism.

Um, he has kept a consistent message such as this all during his campaign and we sent him to the senate by a healthy margin. You're not watching what's happening in this country, patriotism and love of country are making a comeback despite the terrorist loving democrat.

Obama is turning out to be the great uniter, uniting all those against him. May fuck be upon him.

You libs need to get your story straight.

Rand opposes the Patriot Act. His comment seems to have been about random screening at airports and how we are not focusing on those most likely to attack us and instead are running around giving pat downs to 5 year olds etc etc.

So Kentuckians elected him to the Senate knowing he was an authoritarian who pays only lip service to libertarian principles?
Obama is turning out to be the great uniter, uniting all those against him. May fuck be upon him.
More sedition, spidey. Will you rely on Senator Rand to help you get a nice federal prison, since you're one of his constituents?

I like the idea.
Subpoena the cable companies for records on who's watching Fox News, arrest them all under the Patriot Act, waterboard them until they confess, then deport them to Mexico.
They'll illegally cross back into the U.S. looking for jobs, and this will result in the conservative utopia: Because they have no right to be here, they will not have "big government" looking out for them, so corporations will be able to threaten them with deportation to leverage them into accepting mere subsistence-level wages. Free market economy, woohoo! The rest of us will live in luxury off the profits of their labor.

I think I'll buy spidey and make him do my yard work in a French maid outfit. I'll keep him on the leash for a while, then I'll fire him for no reason.

Wrong, He made the comment while discussing the screening at airports.

I seriously doubt there are many hate speeches being given at airports. How would an airport screener know if a passenger attended a "radical" speech?

You contards need to read & understand the links.

Here's a better link. Rand Paul is an idiot for saying this, but he was on Hannity's radio show so only neocons heard it.

Do crazy people like you realize they're crazy? I mean, as you're talking to the wall and screaming about "We the People" with your 20 pet cats do you know you're insane?

Yes, if your white & Christian, no problem, If your brown and wear a "funny" hat & go to a mosque, you should be under suspicion and watched.

So you're the racist. You only think people of color commit crimes? White people get profiled all the time. After Timothy McVeigh blew up the OKc Federal building, White people were profiled hardcore and militias were investigated and low and behold, they got their man.

Profiling works. The only people that complaign about profiling are the guilty people that get busted because of it.
Don't like it? Do something in the community to keep your religion, race, color, creed in check and not committing crimes.
It's people like you that think cops should be able to have APBs that say, be on the look out for a Black Male with low hanging jeans and a large Fubu shirt and crooked hat. You think people could catch their guy by a description of Be on the look out for a person between the ages of 3 and 98, anywhere from 4 feet to 7 feet tall, and wearing clothes.???

I think people are still struggling, ten years later, to find a way to target Islamic terrorists.

Our failures which both Bush and Obama champion include such jewels as the Patriot Act ignoring the Bill of Rights, and the TSA openly molesting your families. In that context, whether Paul's attempt is accurate enough pales in comparison.

Republicans and Democrats have massively f'ed up anything that resembles a reasonable and proper response to Islamic terrorism.

Well to be fair, that's what happens when you let PC-ness control your reactions. If such an event happened in the 40's, say like the Bombing of Pearl Harbor, there'd be a lot more dead Muslims. These PC, limited engagment wars that we fight now do not accomplish anything. We throw out the old and a new evil person steps in. Nothing is done to make the people rethink their actions and allegiences. Look at Germany and Japan. Both got the living shit beat out of them. Now, aside from a few odd porno fetishes they now have, they are very peaceful people because they as a society learned what can happen if you piss off the wrong people.

If you're white and christian and advocating blowing up a Federal building in say, oh Oklahoma, maybe you should be profiled. That sounds like what that guy wants. Actions of someone vs. just their nationality/race. Makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Come on man you can't make your trolls this obvious. You are combining every "uneducated, redneck conservative" stereotype in one post, try using only one or two at a time or else people catch on.

Hello everyone, I'm here to advocate the violent overthrow of the government.

By attending this thread and reading my post, you have committed an offense that should result in your imprisonment or deportation.

Thank you.

We all know you are one of the great neocon apologists on this forum, but it's pretty bad when you ignore almost his full quote to defend him. Pathetic.

Did you read the part about locking up and/or deporting people for listening to a rally? Would you care to comment on the facts, instead of being an apologist?

Because what he is saying is 100% illegal. Please defend what he said, not what you think.

We don't have the full quote.

We have one little bit without even knowing what the question that was asked was.

It would also seem that he is suggesting that we deport foreigners who are attending these radical Imans over seas and such. The way it is now a Pakistani students comes to the US to study and during his summers off he returns to Pakistan and attends a punch of radical anti-US rallies and burns some flag and chants death to America and then posts all about it on Facebook and we don't even deport him for it, that needs to be fixed.

Rand is a fucking disgrace. He's so admirably against the Patriot Act yet supports ridiculous profiling and subsequent deportation? He's nothing like his father and seems to lack the honor to uphold the founding principles of this nation.

Sure we do, you just can't be bothered to find it, since you would rather deflect away to some discussion about the Patriot act. SOP for you.

Just so you can't claim ignorance of the full quote anymore, here you go, there is a link on the following page that gives the audio clip of Hannity talking to him, and Paul's answer.

Link

So again, are you coming to defend his quote that people that listen to speeches should be thrown in jail? No 1st amendment rights, no due process, just straight to jail.

Well said. Of course, my liberal side is outraged that Paul has shirked his Congressional duty of sending snaps of his junk to coeds everywhere just to take up the trifling issue of terrorism, but you do make a good point. Perhaps the time diverted from junk-snap-sending will pay off . . .

At least Democrats send their pics to people of appropriate age.

Waaa! But sedition is my constitutional right! Waaaa!

Actually, it is, and this country was founded on it.

You're lucky it is, given that you engage in a lot of it yourself.

Maybe we should just nickname the younger Paul "Rand-er Pander" for his ability to woo the mindless rightwing base by taking opposite sides of the same issue and still retain credibility in their feeble outrage junkie minds...

Rand Paul and the webbed wonder have advocated for the arrest of everyone who atttended the Sharon Angle speech where she called for "second amendment remedies" against the government.
