Ok, so I wake up, my computer's shut off.

Hmmmmm....

Well, it wont boot into windows, it's just going REALLY slow...

So, I pop in the WD drive test diskette. Drive has got error's.

Tries to fix them, then comes up with Final Code: 0212

That would be the RMA code right?

If so, DAMNIT :|

I'm sure my dad did something to it, not just sure what he did, because when I went to bed, it was on and worked perfectly.

the drive is just failing on its own, call up WD with that fault code ad get it RMA'd. You can cross ship it so it wont take has long.

They are excellent with the RMA as long as your hard drive is still in warranty. All W.D. hard drives that are retail are 3 year or the newer 1 year warranty. Western Digital a couple years ago, in order to keep costs down, went to a 1 year hard drive, and then you can purchase 2 additional years. I have had a W.D. drive RMA'd and I was sent a new one, right away. They use your credit card for 30 days and will charge it if you don't send in the defective one. The new replacement drive is boxed, and all you have to do is put the defective one in the box and ship it out.

Only time ive ever had a WD die on me they were pretty good about getting me another drive shipped out ASAP. Just call them up with that code like Adul said and you should be good.

I tried calling.

Upon calling, the wait was about an hour, and then my phone battery died.

Damnit, and I was caller # 13, oh so close.

Do you have to call them to get an RMA, or can you email them?
