You're probably gonna want to swap out the crappy aux port for a USB since the 2007's didn't come with USB. You can get the parts pretty cheap and it's not terribly difficult afaik.

Will it work with a normal thumb drive or anything? I switched out of the Apple Ecosystem not too long ago and WP7 doesn't work plugged into the USB. Frustratingly, due to someone's poor Bluetooth implementation, it doesn't work with the hands free either.

Pretty sure it works with most USB devices outside of the smartphone stuff. Might want to try to look up what devices work with the 2008's since that's where the plug comes from. I think the rest of the headunit/connectivity stuff between the 2007/08's is the same. 2009 is when they introduced the new idrive and all that jazz.

Congrats on the car. I agree with Don, I am in love with the OEM 162 wheels on the sports package. Here is my 330 with everything minus winter package.

I just did a quick seach on Autotrader.com and came up with 414 ads for BMW 335i (coupe or sedan, any year) within 100 miles of me. Certainly isn't a shortage of these cars around here...

All those leases provide quite a nice supply of used.

The salesman at an Infiniti dealer recently told me some 70% of Infinitis are leases. I'd imagine BMW has similar or higher figures.

There most definitely is not a shortage of them around here either. That's been one of the weirdest things for me, going from a car as unique as the Sky to the 335i where I blend in so much is very strange.

Random observations:
The tires on the car absolutely suck in the rain.
Autosensing wipers are awesome.
Door handles which light up when you unlock the car are brilliant.
I didn't want a black car because it gets dirty, I purchased the wrong color to get away from that.
iDrive is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, but I could maybe understand for your average BMW driver.
Gas mileage blows.
Lights that turn with the steering wheel?

welcome to the boosted inline-6 club. its impossible to get good mileage with this kind of fun at your disposal :).

Yeah, my Sky made more power than the 335i (at least until the JB shows up), but I averaged 21 driving it like I stole it. The 335i has averaged 17.9 so far :(

What the hell is up with the rear wheel arch on this car? It doesn't wrap like the front (making the rear tires look smaller) and the lower edge of the rear bumper is just jacked in the air.
It's a bit nit-picky, but BMW normally wraps things around better.

Anyway, congrats OP.

Congrats on the new car. Dyno before/after the JB4.

Did you go hot air or sealed intake?

Twin-cone hot air that Burger Tuning has on sale with the JB4. It'll cause some heat soak and I'll swap it eventually, but I figured I might as well go ahead and do the package. I'll go to JoTech or 21st Century and get a dyno run in for you guys. Most likely it'll be with the Burger intake already installed and with stock settings as well as 2-3 of the tunes on the JB4. My neighbor has the majority of a meth kit sitting in his garage that has never been installed before and I'm ridiculously tempted, just needs a controller that is compatible with the JB4 and some longer lines I think.

Makes sense. I actually kinda like those wheels and almost bought a set for my snows. That said, I prefer the Sport-package wheels:

For what it's worth, mine are scuffed all to hell . . .

Want to buy mine for your snows? :p

Those Velocity Motoring wheels are way cheaper than I thought. 19x8.5 front, 19x9.5 rear, Continental DWS tires and the TPMS sensors are only $2300 shipped.

I like the V710 more than the V718 or VB3. I think the more open spoke pattern looks a bit less busy. I'd even be tempted by the V713.

Thinking about it, silver might work better. If you're gonna go 18 you might need a drop. Those in the pics are 19"s I think.

Just need to decide if I want contrast between my wheels or if I want them to blend with the car.

One thing I will say is that gunmetal-colored wheels look better, longer, since they are closer to the color of brake dust. The stock pads on your BMW will give off a lot of dark-colored brake dust with normal driving.
