there are copper and aluminum. copper seems to be better.

Copper has almost twice the thermal conductivity as aluminum though it does weigh more. Although weight doesn't matter much with RAM heatsinks as they are very small. The only time it does matter is if the thermal tape is cheap and doesn't form a good bond.
