if i have a video card that has the ram on one side of the board would it be safe to place ramsink on the back side of the board pretty much straight on the board? or would that not be wise??
 
I think that would be alright since a lot of people including myself put a ramsink on the back of the ATI cores. I think you just have to make sure that no metal is touching.
