I am a bit of a newbie when it comes to assembling a PC and setting up the BIOS. Just finished assembling my second PC today (will be used for gaming). Had assembled the previous one almost 5 years ago

Specs:
Rampage Formula.
Q9650
Initially have set it up with a single 2 GB stick of DDR2 800 in slot A1.
GPU: 4870 1GB

I was monitoring the temps in the BIOS and see the following:
CPU: 27/28 C
Is this showing me Core one only?

Also this is the first time I have applied thermal paste and was not sure of how good a job I had done. As I am in the BIOS and the load on the CPU is minimum I am assuming when I install the OS and start loading the CPU how much should I expect the temperature to increase?

BIOS hardware monitor also mentions my NB and SN temps to be at 41C and 38C. Are these normal?

Thanks for reading my long post and thank you in advance for any answers you can provide.
