We keep hearing about 1000+ dead American soldiers ~ but what about those that make it home?

Atrocities abroad, violence at home

Interesting article on the topic I?ve been recently thinking about. I think a lot of people do not realize what kind of effect war has on soldiers, and how it effects the society once they come back home.

I seem to recall the after effects of the vietnam vets pretty well. WWI and WWII soldiers also suffered, the difference may have been the media and society's ability to accept them when they returned.

War is hell, there is no doubt about it.

One of my dad's best friends went to Vietnam for a tour of duty. When he got back, he was completely different... more violent, angry and aggressive. My dad didn't even recognize him anymore. He needed help badly but never got it.
