Yesterday I had ramen (Japanese-style) for lunch and pho for dinner.

Really there was no contest for me. Pho hands down.

What do you guys prefer?

I can get decent ramen at lunch since there's a place with decent ramen like a 5 min drive from work.
I can get decent Pho, but only if I travel like 15 min farther, and then I don't really have enough time to eat it.

So, over the last couple of years, I've eaten tonkatsu ramen around 20 times and I've had pho like ... 2 times.

I like the broth more with ramen, but, I prefer the rice noodles that I've had in pho over the noodles I've had in Ramen.

maybe I just like ramen better because spicy pork is more interesting than the beef or chicken pho that I've had.

In any case, even if it's hot out, they are 2 of my favorite options.

Love both, but I'll have to side with pho.

Piping hot, with the meat sliced thin and as raw as the sprouts and basil.

I've lived in Japan for the last two years. I can get awesome ramen all day, every day, on every street corner. but Pho is just so much better. Can't wait to have a bowl when i come back to the states

Pho is good, but my go to at Vietnamese restaurants is those noodle salad dishes (can't remember the name of them).

I can eat Ramen on the hottest day. I used to ride my bike in NYC on the hottest 95 degree day and sweat my tail off and then stop at one of the best ramen shops in the city and scarf down a bowl of noodles. Y'all are doing it wrong. Yer physics are fooked

Even if ramen and pho were equal in taste, pho would win by default because it's cheaper. But pho is cheaper and better. So it's clear win by pho. Flawless victory.
