ramen burger looks interdasting

will the ramen burger be better than a regular burger?

  • Yes - noodles > bread

  • No - noodles do not belong anywhere near burgers

  • needs moar cheese

  • Shimamoto's special sauce is suspect

The Ramen Burger is a new hybrid food from Keizo Shimamoto, a ramen enthusiast who spent some time in Japan, but currently resides in New York City. According to his Facebook page, it's a USDA Prime ground beef chuck patty and two "craftily" formed buns made of ramen noodles. It looks like someone smashed a bunch of noodles together and formed them into patty shapes.
The burger patty is topped with Shimamoto's special sauce and your choice of vegetables.

No, this is pure genius. And it looks completely delicious! *drool*

*edit* btw OP your poll sucks, why does one have to be better than the other? They can both be different but enjoyable.

Hmm... Do you cut if into chucks and use a fork or use hands? Would the shape of the noodle buns holds if one eats it by hands?

I still prefer a regular toasted bun...

Very interesting, if rather messy, food. I can imagine the noodles unravelling, chopped onions falling off and the sauce dripping. It will taste unlike any other burgers though. ;)

Maybe the noodles are meant to be fallen apart to eat with a fork!

I could live on Ramen. It could be my obsession with sodium though. I would definitely try this burger, but it is hard to imagine how it will stay together.

It would be better with buns AND ramen so you can at least hold the thing.

I came into this thread picturing a Reman Burger when misreading the topic title.

It's obvious that this is the result of combining two things just because it's trendy to do so.

Conceptually it makes no sense whatsoever, because the more important component of a good bowl of ramen is arguably the soup/broth.
