I have 4x 256 samsung pc800 sticks... I was curious about the temp. and proceeded to open my side panel (inwin Q500) I placed a couple fingers on the side of one module for approximately 5 seconds and took them right off because it was THAT HOT.

I remember reading one of anands reviews .. it was a comparison of sdram and rdram temperatures.. it showed that rdram ran a little warmer than sdram.. (35c~)

what can I do to cool my rambus??

Sorry, but yeah cut a blow hole and put a fan blowing directly on the ram if you can.

Here's a link to a thread on overclockers.com about additional cooling steps for DRCGs and RDRAM. As BBWF so wryly suggested, some sort of directed air cooling seems the easiest and safest approach.

Is your system stable?

I guess what I mean is...do you need to cool it? My engine block runs around 90C, but the car's stood up well to daily driving. And the pistons, don't get me started on them.... :)

Not all that's hot necessarily needs to be cooled. Though it won't hurt of course. With semiconductors I mean, engine blocks need to be warm for things to operate most efficiently.
