Rambus 8 and 16 device????

Can someone explain to me the difference between 8 and 16 device rambus memory and which is better? thanks

all other things equal, the fewer devices per MB, the better off you are. Fewer devices per MB means lower latency. Most existing i850 implementations have a limit of 32 devices, which translates to a tops of 1 gb with the older 256-MB devices.

Even though fewer devices is better, it is rumored that the 16device 256 mb rdram will overclock better that the 8 device one. Again there is no hard data for this but visit overclockers.com Abit forum and see.
