Ok...had a close call there. I had 2 sticks of OCZ Extreme Performance RDRAM 1066 MHz Memory (256MB) from hardcorecooling.com. Anyway, it was a huge fiasco...the guy held onto my order for 2 weeks because I didn't pay the fee to get it out the same day. Sheesh...after 3 more calls, I finally got him to refund my money back to paypal. This might be a blessing in disguise, as some have mentioned that OCZ isn't the way to go.

My question is this...as I am sort of confused: Where can I buy RDRAM 1066mhz? I see the 800mhz in stores (newegg, etc) and wonder if I should just go for it instead? Newegg sells the 1066, but it isn't in stock. Can someone suggest a decent and reputable company with a fairly decent price on 1066 Rambus memory (2x256mb)? This is for my Gigabyte GA-8IHXP. Thanks again anandtechers!

Arent you lucky you strayed from OCZ?

If you want Pure PC1066 chips, the only ones that offer them are Corsair or Kingston. But a 256 stick of those will set you back quite a bit ($150+ each). I would just recommend you get PC800 Samsung 256MB 16 device sticks (googlegear.com differentiates 16 and 8 device). The vast majority of them overclock to PC1066 anyways, and some will even do PC1200 and beyond at stock voltage.

Mwave is where I got mine. MWave I got mine when it was around $130. It's now $139 but is out of stock. BTW I got Kingston and had nothing but success with it.
