I saw First Blood for the first time recently, that was actually a pretty good film.

They should take Rambo IV in that direction, not in the crazy over the top action film direction.

And, for the love of god, leave the young guns out of it.

Too many people missed the point of First Blood. It is a surprisingly good film...the ones that followed it are fun, but don't go in the same direction as the first.

Wow, Stallone is trying to come back to the screen with all guns blazing...

Rambo, Rocky... now we need sequels to Judge Dredd and Demolition Man. 😉

oh god, not judge dredd. that was horrible.

i don't remember enough about demolition man but i'd probably react the same way

haha - Rambo reloads (optional)

i always laugh when the guy carrying the revolver gets off like 15 shots before he has to reload.

I suppose they will have machine guns and rocket launchers mounted on his wheelchair...He's gettin a little "long in the tooth" for this kind of crap, and the littls bstard never was a very good actor to begin with. Always sounds like he's reading a script...

yeah, I was flipping channels, bored as hell, and said "hey, it's rambo, this'll be good for a laugh," but was then completely taken by surprise when it was a good film. haha.

The acting in the Rambo movies was horrid. But acting wasn't what the Rambo movies were about. They were "Guy Flicks" for the timew. They were excellent flicks for their time.

The thought of that RumpRanger from that god-awful HumpbackMountain movie playing Rambo is pure sacrilege. Rambo is a Real Man Movie. Not a "Really, It's a Man in a Skirt" Movie. :\

Rambo has the ultimate "optional" scene when he is firing the machine gun one handed with the ammo belt wrapped around his arm. It amounts to about 2 seconds worth of ammo, but the scene is about 20 seconds and each time they show it, the ammo belt gets longer.

To compete with Stallone's come back attempts Arnold Schwarzenegger will be staring in Predator III!!!!!!

So, the script that emerged ? a ''first draft'' Stallone has written with Art Monterastelli (The Hunted) ? finds Rambo living a monastic lifestyle in Bangkok and salvaging old PT boats and tanks for scrap metal. (''It's like he's stripping himself down,'' says the actor, pensively. ''That old piece of military equipment.'') When a group of volunteers bringing supplies into Burma disappears, a relative of one of the missing missionaries begs Rambo to find them. He heads off with a team of young guns, a plot point required by the financiers, who wanted to hedge against Rambo's possible mono-generational appeal.

"I'll make you famous."

And of course, they'll all get high on peyote at some point.
"Did you see the size of the goddamn cock-a-doodle-doo"

Wow I must be messed up today, this whole time I read the thread I was thinking this was the script to Rocky VI. Man was I confused, until I just looked at the title again.

Predator was an awesome movie series! I also enjoyed AVP...super fight scenes b/t two super villians I've been watching for a long time.

The problem with an Arnie comeback would be that he's no longer perceived as a movie badass type guy, but a blathering politician who represents the most anti-gun state in the nation...well, maybe the second or third anti gun state after Mass and NY.

Stallone, OTOH, just disappeared some time ago. But he's washed up as well.

Hmm. If I had to choose, I'd pick Predator III: Freakin' Pissed Off Aliens Return! easily over Rambo 10: Return Of The Washedup Warrior!

Would be stylish to name it "Rambo IV - Clip Still Not Empty" or "Rambo IV - Infinite Ammo Belt of Moebius (+3 Speed vs Bad Guys / -4 Intelligence)" or perhaps "Rambo IV - The Man Who Cast Iron Railway from Spent Shells"
