is 2 sticks of 256mb ddr ram better then haveing 1 stick of 512mb ddr ram, even know its the same amount, i hear 2 sticks of 256 would be more stable becuz the 512mb stick would have only 1 stick to put all the temp information on, should i go with 1 stick or 2 sticks?
 
If you are talking identical chips other than the size, there really is very little difference. It has been my experience that smaller chips(i.e. 128 vs. 256) tend to overclock better. For use at default settings there really isn't any performance difference between 2 smaller sticks versus one larger one.
