* Are you asking about the highest quality without regard to price?
* Would you be asking about DDR3 that OC's the highest?
* You are asking about standard unbuffered, non-ECC desktop memory, correct?

i wouldn't bother getting 2x8GB right now, go with 4x4GB. it'll cost you about half the price up front and you can always upgrade later for much less money if the need arises.

Thread starter, you should post your CPU/motherboard, many things depend on that. For example if you have SB-E, 4x4gb of 1600mhz would probably be ideal.

i dont have a cpu/mobo right now, im looking at stuff for my new build. I intend to go 2500K tho.

the current one i have is 1090T with 790FX mobo and 8gb of g.skills 1.5V
