Ram ?

I dont know what type brand of ram I have(Its a gig, with two 512 sticks) and I was wondering if I bought another gig of ram does the type brand matter?


What else should I know when buying ram?

Yes and no. If you don't care about dual channel then it doesn't matter. But if you want dual channel, you'll need same brand and model (revision too) . . . what ram do you have now?
